The main card for MFC 33 is now set, as Maximum Fighting Championship officials Wednesday announced a trio of new bouts for the May 4 event, which airs live on HDNet.
Headlined by a welterweight title confrontation pitting Nathan Coy against Ryan McGillivray, the event takes place at the Mayfield Inn Trade and Convention Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Maromo has won three straight fights, knocking out Scott Cleve in his MFC debut last summer. “The Afrikan Assassin” followed that performance with another standout effort at MFC 31, using a varied muay Thai attack to earn a unanimous decision over Fadai on Oct. 7.
Lynn, 34, was last seen delivering one of the more memorable knockouts of 2011, when the American blasted Canadian prospect Curtis Demarce with a perfectly-timed counter elbow just 98 seconds into their MFC 31 contest. The knockout marked the sixth consecutive victory for the IFL veteran, whose last loss came in 2007 to future Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson.
