Last week, Shahbulat Shamhalaev and Desmond Green were among 13 fighters released from Bellator MMA. Both Shamhalaev and Green have landed on their feet, however, recently signing contracts with Titan Fighting Championships.

Titan FC announced the signings via its website on Tuesday. The promotion’s next event takes place on Sept. 26 in Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, Texas.

Shamhalaev was the winner of Bellator’s Season 7 145-pound tournament but has lost his last two outings against Pat Curran and Fabricio de Assis Costa da Silva. “Assassin” will likely make his promotional debut at Titan FC 31 in October.

Green went 3-2 for Bellator before being released. After dropping his debut at Bellator 99, “The Predator” rallied off three consecutive victories. Green’s last time inside the cage was at Bellator 119, a submission loss to Daniel Weichel.

Titan FC also signed former Cage Fury FC flyweight champion Sean Santella.
