Promotion officials announced Tuesday that Borics will face Manuel Gaxhja in the new Bellator 196 co-main event on April 6 at the Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary. Borics was originally slated to meet James Gallagher in the evening’s headliner until the SBG Ireland prospect withdrew due to injury. Now, Bellator 196 will feature a lightweight showdown between Benson Henderson and Roger Huerta. The main card will be televised via tape delay in the United States on the Paramount Network at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.

A native of Hungary, Borics owns a 6-0 professional mark that includes four triumphs by way of submission. Most recently, he submitted Anthony Taylor with a rear-naked choke 4:12 into the opening round of their bout at Bellator 177 in April 2017.

Gaxhja, a native of Tirana, Albania, has been victorious in his first three professional appearances. The 20-year-old last competed at MMA Challenge Pro 7 in Greece, where he stopped Vasilis Velicianos via TKO in the opening stanza.
