Instead of competing at UFC Fight Night 126 in Austin, Marion Reneau will face Sara McMann at UFC on Fox 28 on Feb. 28.

MMAjunkie.com was the first to report the bantamweight booking, and both fighters have since confirmed it via social media. Reneau was originally supposed to square off against Tonya Evinger on Feb. 18, but the former Invicta champ was forced out of the contest due to injury. Meanwhile, current Invicta FC bantamweight queen Yana Kunitskaya was initially rumored to meet McMann at UFC on Fox 28; while both fighters announced that pairing via social media, it was never confirmed by the UFC.

UFC on Fox 28 takes place at the Amway Center in Orlando and features a middleweight showdown between Yoel Romero and David Branch. The evening’s main card airs on the Fox Network following prelims on Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

Reneau last appeared at UFC Fight Night 115, where she scored a third-round stoppage of Talita Bernardo on Sept. 2. The 40-year-old Californian is 4-2-1 in UFC competition and 8-3-1 as a professional overall.

McMann saw a three-fight winning streak come to an end at UFC 215, as she was submitted in the second round by Ketlen Vieira. The former title challenger has compiled a 5-4 mark in the Octagon and is 11-4 as a professional overall.
