By Tristen Critchfield Jul 4, 2017

Albert Morales will step in for Mitch Gagnon and face Brett Johns at UFC Fight Night 113 on July 16.

The promotion confirmed the change on Tuesday. A reason for Gagnon’s withdrawal was not announced. UFC Fight Night 113 takes place at SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland and is headlined by a welterweight duel between Gunnar Nelson and Santiago Ponzinibbio. The card will be televised on Fox Sports 1.

Morales last appeared at UFC 209, where he captured a split verdict against Andre Soukhamthath for his first promotional triumph. “The Warrior” is 7-1-1 over the course of a professional career that began in 2015.

Johns, meanwhile, is 13-0 as a professional, including a three-round verdict against Kwan Ho Kwak at UFC Fight Night 99 in his Octagon debut on Nov. 19. Johns has finished two of his wins by KO/TKO and four via submission.
