Alexander Gustafsson Eyeing Several Opponents for Return Bout, Including Yoel Romero
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight title challenger Alexander Gustafsson is rolling out the welcoming mat for middleweight fighter Yoel Romero, who is coming off a close split-decision loss to Robert Whittaker last Saturday in the main event of UFC 225 in Chicago.

Romero said his team plans to sue the Illinois Athletic Commission for not allowing him the full promised two hours to make the weight.
If Romero was to move up to the light heavyweight division, he’ll be welcomed by Gustafsson, who has already called out another former middleweight in Luke Rockhold. “The Mauler” posted a tweet taking a jab at Romero for missing weight again.
Just because the ”BOSS” DC @dc_mma said so lets do it Yoel @YoelRomeroMMA Obviously both of you have difficulties making weight

Gustafsson has not competed inside the Octagon since May 2017, when he knocked out Glover Teixeira and has been on the sidelines since his shoulder surgery last year. However, the Swede has been active on social media challenging the likes of Rockhold and his teammate, current light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.
Gustafsson had been hoping to fight Rockhold by the end of the year, although that’s looking unlikely at this stage as Rockhold recently posted picture of his surgically repaired leg.
Cormier will take on Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight title on July 7 in the main event of UFC 226.
