Alexander Volkanovski Announces Bout vs. Darren Elkins for UFC Fight Night 133 in Boise

It appears that Alexander Volkanovski and Darren Elkins will square off at UFC Fight Night 133 in Boise, Idaho.

Volkanovski recently announced the matchup via Twitter, although the Las Vegas-based promotion has yet to confirm the featherweight pairing. “Agreement signed…We going to Boise,” Volkanovski wrote.

UFC Fight Night 133 takes place at CenturyLink Arena on July 14 and is headlined by a heavyweight clash between Junior dos Santos and Blagoy Ivanov. The card will air on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.

Volkanovski has tasted defeat just once in 18 professional appearances. The 29-year-old Australian is 4-0 under the UFC banner and is coming off a second-round technical knockout victory against Jeremy Kennedy in his most recent outing at UFC 221.

Elkins is currently riding the momentum of a six-bout winning streak in the Octagon. “The Damage” last appeared at UFC Fight Night 124, where he submitted Michael Johnson with a second-round rear-naked choke on Jan. 14.
