Alexis Dufresne will make her Bellator MMA debut when she faces fellow promotional newcomer Arlene Blencowe in featherweight action on May 15.
Bellator officials confirmed the pairing with Sherdog.com on Saturday. Bellator 137 takes place at Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., and features a main event showdown between Brandon Halsey and Kendall Grove.
Dufresne, 24, was cut by Ultimate Fighting Championship in January after her second straight loss and unsuccessful weigh-in. “The Sneaky Zebra” has not lost outside of the Octagon, winning fights in Southern California and Mexico.
Blencowe, 31, will also be making her debut in Bellator. Hailing from Australia, Blencowe has won three consecutive fights after opening her professional career with a record of 2-4. Her three most recent victories have all come by way of finish.
