All 18 fighters scheduled to compete Friday at Maximum Fighting Championship 29 “Conquer” made their contracted weights at Thursday's weigh-ins, including the four men who will fight for promotional titles.
MFC 29 goes down April 8 from The Colosseum at Caesar's Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, and will be headlined by a welterweight title clash between reigning champion Douglas Lima (170) and UFC veteran Terry Martin (170). The show will air live on HDNet at 10 p.m. ET.
Prior to both main event competitors hitting their marks, the co-headliners took to the scales. Karate stylist Ryan Jimmo, who will defend his light heavyweight crown at the event, weighed in at 204 pounds, as did his challenger Zak Cummings.
Martin is not the only UFC vet who will compete on Friday, as lightweight Marcus Davis (154.5) will make his Maximum Fighting Championship debut against Curtis Demarce (155.5).
Additionally, former Octagon talents Hermes Franca (160) and Pete Spratt (170) both hit their marks for their catch-weight and welterweight affairs against Robert Washington (160) and Demi Deeds (170), respectively.
