All Future Invicta Fighting Championship Events Move Exclusively to UFC Fight Pass
The working relationship between Ultimate Fighting Championship and Invicta FC continues to blossom with the announcement that the all-women’s mixed martial arts promotion will air exclusively on UFC Fight Pass going forward.
During a conference call on Thursday, UFC Chief Content Officer Marshall Zelaznik and Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp announced that Invicta 8 will take place at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 6.
The main event will be an atomweight title bout with champion Michelle Waterson versus challenger Yasuko Tamada.
Effective immediately, the entire Invicta FC library is now available on UFC Fight Pass.
Zelaznik also made it clear the UFC will work to garner Invicta FC wider international broadcast distribution and more eyes on its product. While Knapp added that Invicta hopes to stay active and stage a show at least every two months.
