All Strikeforce Challengers 18 Drug Screens Return Negative
All fighters tested following Strikeforce
Challengers 18 showed no signs of performance enhancing drugs
or drugs of abuse, the Nevada State Athletic Commission informed

According to the NSAC, 10 fighters in total provided samples, including main event competitors Joe Duarte and Jorge Gurgel. The tests were administered following the event on Aug. 12, which took place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.
Additional fighters tested included Nate James, Pat Healy, Derrick Mehmen, Nah-Shon Burrell, Milton Vieira, Gian Villante, Mike Bronzoulis and Ronda Rousey.
Additionally, Gurgel and Duarte were both administered out-of-competition steroid tests on July 21 and 22, respectively. Duarte was awarded a unanimous decision victory in the Strikeforce Challengers 18 main event, as the Guamanian outpointed the UFC veteran in a competitive lightweight scrap.
