Amanda Nunes has suffered a hand injury that will prevent her from competing against Sarah Kaufman at “The Ultimate Fighter Nations” finale.

Nunes announced the news via Instagram and Twitter on Tuesday, posting an X-ray of her injury and revealing that she will be unable to compete at the April 16 event.

“I was really excited to fight Sarah,” Nunes wrote. “This was a great opportunity for me. Unfortunately, I dislocated my finger and it will have to wait.”

Nunes was initially expected to square off with Alexis Dufresne on April 19 at UFC on Fox 11, but she was instead tapped to replace an injured Shayna Baszler at the “TUF Nations” finale. Kaufman now stands without an opponent once again, and it is unknown whether the Canadian will still compete at the event.

The April 19 show takes place at Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City and is headlined by a middleweight showdown between Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy. The evening’s main card airs live on Fox Sports 1 and will also see Kyle Noke take on Patrick Cote in a welterweight battle of “TUF Nations” coaches.

Nunes, 25, would have ridden back-to-back victories into her clash with the former Strikeforce champion. “Lioness” last competed this past November, scoring a first-round stoppage of muay Thai ace Germaine de Randamie at UFC Fight Night 31.

A 19-fight pro and former Strikeforce champion, Kaufman made her Octagon debut this past October against Jessica Eye at UFC 166. Though the bout was initially ruled a split decision victory for Eye, the outcome was later changed to a no-decision by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation after Eye tested positive for marijuana metabolites.
