American Top Team Member Aaron Rajman Shot, Killed at Florida Home

Mixed martial arts fighter Aaron Rajman was shot and killed at his home in Boca Raton, Florida, on Monday.

According to a report from the Sun Sentinel, several men entered Rajman’s home at about 10:24 p.m. local time on Monday. They then shot Rajman after an argument and then drove away.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office does not currently have a motive for the shooting. Rajman turned 25 years old on June 27.

“I’m just literally at a loss for words. Everyone I talked to is sickened,” said Miami-based fight promoter Dave Zalewski told the Sentinel. “He was the most humble guy around, he never talked bad about people.”

Rajman trained at American Top Team in Coconut Creek, Fla. and had compiled a 2-2 professional mark on the regional circuit. His last documented fight was on May 7, 2016. UFC strawweight Tecia Torres, who trained with Rajman at ATT, posted a tribute to her friend on Instagram. Torres will be facing Juliana Lima at “The Ultimate Fighter 25” finale on Friday in Las Vegas and hopes to get a victory in honor of Rajman.

“A beautiful soul was taken too soon. Today I have a heavy heart with the passing of my friend,” Torres wrote. “I remember when Aaron went out to NC with me and was my only corner at the end of my amateur career. Shortly after I fought on one of his own mma shows and become the #1 amateur fighter at 115. Thank you Aaron for sharing those special moments. I hope this weekend to make you smile and get the W for you. Miss you bud.”

The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information in the case to call Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800-458-8477.
