Anderson Silva failed another drug test following UFC 183.
Previously, Silva tested positive for drostanolone metabolites and androsterone during a pre-fight drug test administered on Jan. 9 ahead of his bout against Nick Diaz. He also submitted a urine sample on Jan. 19, which came back clean. All told, Silva failed two of the three drug tests he submitted in relation to UFC 183, which took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
According to a report from ESPN.com, Silva’s fight-night sample arrived at the lab in Salt Lake City on Feb. 2, and the results were reported to the NAC on Feb. 10.
Silva, who has denied taking performance enhancing drugs, defeated Diaz via unanimous decision in the UFC 183 headliner. It was the Brazilian’s first fight since gruesomely breaking his leg in a loss to Chris Weidman at UFC 168.
