Andre Fili will replace the injured Brian Ortega and face Hacran Dias at UFC Fight Night 96 in Portland on Oct. 1.

The Las Vegas-based promotion confirmed the new featherweight pairing following an initial report from the Oregonian on Monday. UFC Fight Night takes place at the Moda Center in Portland, Ore., and is headlined by a bantamweight tilt between John Lineker and John Dodson. The evening’s main card will air on Fox Sports 1.

Anchored at Team Alpha Male, Fili last appeared at UFC 197, where he was the victim of a spectacular flying roundhouse kick KO from Yair Rodriguez in the second round of their bout. Fili has alternated wins and losses in six promotional appearances since making his debut in October 2013.

Dias, meanwhile, had a two-fight winning streak snapped by Cub Swanson in his most recent outing at UFC on Fox 19 in April. The Brazilian known as “Barnabe” is 3-3 in the Octagon and 23-4 as a professional overall. He has earned nine of his victories by submission and three by KO/TKO.
