A heavyweight clash pitting Andrei Arlovski against Stipe Miocic will serve as the co-main event for UFC 195.

The UFC confirmed the bout following an initial report from the Los Angeles Times. UFC 195 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Jan. 2 and is headlined by a welterweight championship tilt between Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit.

Arlovski, 36, has won six straight fights, including four in the Octagon. The Jackson-Wink MMA-trained Belarusian last appeared at UFC 191, where he captured a unanimous verdict over Frank Mir. The former heavyweight champion also owns triumphs against Travis Browne, Antonio Silva and Brendan Schaub during his second promotional stint.

Miocic was originally slated to appear against Ben Rothwell in the UFC Fight Night Dublin co-headliner on Saturday, but the Ohio native was forced to withdraw from that contest due to injury. The 33-year-old Strong Style Fight Team representative has won four of his last five Octagon appearances and is coming off a lopsided fifth-round TKO stoppage of Mark Hunt on May 10.
