Anthony Christodoulou will make his Octagon debut at UFC on Fox 14 when he squares off against Mairbek Taisumov.

Promotion officials announced on Tuesday that Christodoulou will replace Yan Cabral on the Jan 24 card. A reason for Cabral’s withdrawal was not given. UFC on Fox 14 takes place at the Tele2Arena in Stockholm and is headlined by a light heavyweight No. 1 contender showdown between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson.

A native of Palatine, Ill., Christodoulou enters his initial UFC foray on a seven-fight winning streak. The Flo MMA product last competed at Kunlun Fight 11 “World Tour,” where he captured a unanimous verdict against Eric Uresk. The 27-year-old has won 12 of 13 fights overall since losing his first three pro appearances.

Taisumov debuted in the Octagon in 2014 and went 2-1 over the course of the year, posting triumphs over Tae Hyun Bang and Marcin Bandel while falling to Michel Richard Cunha dos Prazeres. The M-1 Challenge veteran is 22-5 as a professional, with 20 of those victories coming inside the distance.
