A 135-pound bout pitting Aljamain Sterling against Frankie Saenz has been added to UFC Fight Night “Rockhold vs. Bisping”.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the pairing on Tuesday. The Nov. 8 event takes place at Allphones Arena in Sydney and features a 185-pound clash between Luke Rockhold and Michael Bisping. The card will stream in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.
Sterling was scheduled to face Mitch Gagnon at UFC Fight Night “MacDonald vs. Saffiedine,” but a hand injury forced him to withdraw. The 25-year-old maintains an undefeated mark 10 fights into his career, including wins over Cody Gibson and Hugo Viana under the UFC banner.
Saenz will come into the scrap riding a five-fight winning streak, including a win against Nolan Ticman in his UFC debut. The 34-year-old is a former King of the Cage champion and has not been defeated since 2012.
