Bantamweights Eddie Wineland, Frankie Saenz to Clash at UFC on Fox 20

A bantamweight showdown pitting Eddie Wineland against Frankie Saenz has been booked for UFC on Fox 20.

Wineland confirmed the pairing via Twitter following an initial report from Red Eye Chicago. UFC on Fox 20 takes place at the United Center in Chicago on July 23; a headliner for the event has not been announced.

Wineland’s last victory came in the Windy City, as he scored a second-round technical knockout victory over Yves Jabouin at UFC on Fox 10 in January 2014. Since then, the 31-year-old Indiana native has dropped back-to-back fights against Bryan Caraway and Johnny Eduardo.

Saenz, meanwhile, saw a seven-fight winning streak snapped in a unanimous decision loss to Urijah Faber at UFC 194 in December. The 35-year-old Arizonan had bested Nolan Ticman, Iuri Alcantara and Sirwan Kakai in his first three Octagon appearances.
