Barnes in Against Wuiff at Moosin

Heavyweight Josh Barnes has agreed to face Travis Wiuff at Moosin “Sylvia vs. Pudzianowski” this Friday at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., Sherdog.com was notified on Tuesday. Barnes replaces Korea’s Mu Bae Choi, who was dropped from the roster without a reason given.

Barnes rebounded from three straight losses in 2009 to take a first-round win against Iggy Zambrano at an IFC event in January. Wuiff defeated Justin Newcomb with a 61-second stoppage at the same event in Green Bay, Wis.

In Moosin’s main event, former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia meets five-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski. The Polish strongman earned his second career victory against Yusuke Kawaguchi at KSW “Kumite” on May 7 in his homeland. The 6-foot-8 Sylvia defeated Jason Riley with first-round punches at Adrenaline MMA 4 last September in his 31st career bout.

Moosin’s pay-per-view broadcast will also feature former UFC middleweight title challenger Travis Lutter against east coast Gracie Fusion fighter Rafael Natal, while Yves Edwards will face WEC veteran Mike Campbell. Tara LaRosa and Roxanne Modafferi will also meet in a 130-pound catch-weight rematch. LaRosa decisioned Modafferi over three rounds at an MFC event in March 2006.
