Battlegrounds MMA 5 Weigh-In Results: All Welterweight Tourney Participants Official

BattleGrounds MMA is trying its hand at pay-per-view as it puts on a single-night, eight-man welterweight tournament on Friday with BattleGrounds MMA 5 “O.N.E.” .

Friday’s fight card takes place at BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. The main card airs on PPV for $19.95.

Immediately following the weigh-ins for the event, the opening-round matchups for the 170-pound tournament were selected using a lottery ball-style blind draw.

All eight competitors competing in the 170-pound bracket were cleared at Thursday’s weigh-ins. According to multiple reports, Cody McKenzie weighed 172.6 pounds on his first attempt. Given two hours to reach the 171-pound limit, McKenzie donated a pint of blood to check in at 170.6 pounds.

The matchups are as follows: Brock Larson (170 pounds) vs. Cody McKenzie (170.6); Joe Ray (169.6) vs. Luigi Fioravanti (171); Jesse Taylor (170.2) vs. Trey Houston (169.6); and Roan Carneiro (170.4) vs. Randall Wallace (170.4)
