Bantamweight headliners Joe Warren and Nick Kirk were both cleared to compete at Thursday’s Bellator 101 weigh-ins.
The event will also showcase the opening round of Bellator’s lightweight tournament, which sees UFC veterans Marcus Davis (156), Rich Clementi (155.5) and John Alessio (155.6) do battle with Russian prospect Alexander Sarnavskiy (155.4), Brazilian veteran Ricardo Tirloni (155.5) and once-beaten American Will Brooks (155.3). Season 8 finalist Saad Awad (155.9) will round out the bracket, as the heavy-handed Californian locks up with British talent Martin Stapleton (156).
The evening’s preliminary draw streams immediately prior on Spike.com and will feature some of Portland’s best-known veterans, as Ryan Healy (154.4) battles Marcin Held (155.7), Tyson Jeffries (183.8) faces Dave Vitkay (185.6) and Nathan Coy (170.5) squares off with Andy Uhrich (170).
