Bellator 113 Weigh-In Results: Vegh, Newton Cleared For 205-Pound Title Headliner

The light heavyweight title bout between Attila Vegh and Emanuel Newton will move forward as planned, as both fighters were cleared for action at Thursday’s Bellator 113 weigh-ins.

Vegh tipped the scales at 204.2 pounds, while Newton checked in at 203. Bellator 113 takes place Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kan., on Friday night, with the evening’s main draw airing on Spike TV. The preliminary card streams immediately prior on Spike.com.

In addition to the light heavyweight title unification bout, David Rickels (155.7) will square off with Patricky Freire (155.7) in a featured clash as part of the promotion’s Season 10 lightweight tournament. Three other quarterfinal matchups round out the 155-pound bracket, as Marcin Held (155.9) meets Rodrigo Cavalheiro Correia (154), Derek Anderson (155.6) locks horns with Brandon Girtz (155.6) and Tim Welch (155.8) squares off against Derek Campos (155).
