Bellator 146 Gets Brandon Girtz-Derek Campos Lightweight Rematch

A lightweight rematch pitting Brandon Girtz against Derek Campos has been added to the Bellator 146 main card. Campos defeated Girtz via unanimous decision at Bellator 96 in June 2013.
Promotion officials announced the bout on Thursday, as well as six preliminary contests: Bubba McDaniel vs. Kenyon Jackson at a 195-pound catch-weight; Zach Rosol vs. Alonzo Menifield at heavyweight; Stephen Banaszak vs. George Pacurariu at a 140-pound catch-weight; Treston Thomison vs. Chris Jones at featherweight; Eli Tamez vs. Roshaun Jones at bantamweight; and Justin Patterson vs. Sean Holden at welterweight.

The 30-year-old Girtz enters the bout on a two-fight winning streak, including a split-decision triumph over UFC veteran Melvin Guillard in his most recent outing at Bellator 141. The Grudge Training Center product is 13-4 as a professional, with eight triumphs via submission.
Campos has lost two of his last three Bellator appearances, falling to top 155-pound contenders Patricky Freire and Michael Chandler. “The Stallion” is 4-3 within the Scott-Coker led promotion.
