According to a release from Spike, last Friday’s card averaged 775,000 viewers (+3 DVR) and peaked at 912,000 for the trilogy bout between Derek Campos and Brandon Girtz in the evening’s headliner.

Campos and Girtz engaged in a wild slugfest for two rounds at the Winstar Resort in Thackerville, Okla., but the contest was halted due to a massive gash on Girtz’s forehead after the second stanza. Campos was then awarded a technical knockout victory in one of the most entertaining fights of 2017 thus far.

All told, the entire Bellator 181 broadcast attracted 573,000 viewers to Spike for a card that also saw rising middleweight contender John Salter submit Kendall Grove with a rear-naked choke 4:37 into the opening stanza in the co-main event.
