All fighters made their contractually agreed-upon weights for Saturday's Bellator 211, the sixth event in Italy for Bellator MMA. In the main event of the evening, local hero and longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Alessio Sakara will touch gloves with Englishman Kent Kauppinen. Kaupinnen will try to snap a two-bout skid, while “Legionarius” will try to add to the momentum of a 4-1 run since leaving the UFC in 2013.
The co-main event sees the professional mixed martial arts debut of noted kickboxer Hesdy Gerges. The 34 year-old Dutchman will lock horns with Portugal’s Domingos Barros.
