Bellator 87 Weigh-in Results Update: All 8 Lightweight Quarterfinalists Hit Marks in Michigan
Bellator’s Season 8 lightweight tournament will move forward in spite of Patricky “Pitbull” Freire’s injury withdrawal.
Freire’s replacement, Saad Awad (156 pounds), hit his mark at Wednesday’s Bellator 87 weigh-in for his showdown with fellow tournament debutant Guillaume DeLorenzi (155.2).

The evening’s Spike TV-broadcast main draw will also feature a duel between unbeaten prospect Will Brooks (156) and Season 7 alum Ricardo Tirloni (155.8). Though neither man stepped on the scale during Wednesday’s proceedings, both lightweights were cleared to compete shortly thereafter.
The evening’s undercard will also showcase a host of talent, as 15-fight pro Samuel Quito (169.4) faces onetime Strikeforce competitor Ben Lagman (170.8) at welterweight, and “Ultimate Fighter 12” contestant Sevak Magakian (155.2) faces once-beaten Jason Fischer (155.8) in a lightweight tournament alternate bout.
