Bellator MMA Doubles Down with Monster Energy, Promotes MMA-Motorsports Series
Bellator MMA's partnership with Monster Energy is being reinforced.
Bellator officials announced Monday that the MMA promotion and its primary energy drink sponsor had joined forces to “to showcase a series of fights to take place at select races during the 2017 Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series season.”
“Bellator and Nascar fans are some of the most passionate in sports, and we couldn’t be happier to bring MMA and motorsports together,” said Bellator President Scott Coker in a press release.
“Monster Energy has been a great partner of ours over the years, and we’re excited about the opportunity to integrate our brand into another great sports property within the Monster Energy family,” Coker added. “I’m looking forward to introducing Bellator to a whole new fanbase.”
This is not the first promotional tie-up between the two bands. In October 2014, Bellator ran a small card as part of the “2014 Monster Energy Cup” in Whitney, Nevada, headlined by Dan Charles' unanimous decision win over James Wilson.
