Bellator MMA on Tuesday announced that Emmanuel Sanchez isn’t go anywhere anytime soon, as the featherweight has signed a multi-year, multi-fight contract extension.
Sanchez came to Bellator in October 2014 and quickly established himself as a contender, racking up two wins for before dropping a decision to former champion Pat Curran last January.
The 25-year old Roufusport product bounced back with three consecutive wins, all coming via action-packed split decision. Henry Corrales, Justin Lawrence and, most recently, Daniel Pineda all came up short against “El Matador.”
No details of the agreement were announced, and it is currently unknown when Sanchez will return to the cage.
