Bellator MMA has dipped into a talented gene pool for its latest signing, adding Tyree Fortune to its roster.
Like his brother, Tyree has competed at heavyweight in MMA but he will fight at 205 pounds in Bellator. The Portland, Ore., native has extensive amateur record — 8-1 according to the sherdog.com database — and a 3-0 mark as a professional. A date for Tyree’s debut has not been set. According to a report from MMAjunkie.com, Tyree could also drop to middleweight in the future.
“I can’t wait to get in there and show them what I do,” Tyree told MMAjunkie.com. “It’s a great payoff when you get something you’ve been looking for, and you actually see the fruit of your labor.”
