Irish prospect James Gallagher and UFC veteran Guilherme Vasconcelos have both signed deals with Bellator MMA.
A promotion official confirmed the signings with Sherdog.com on Thursday. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed. Gallagher’s and Vasconcelos’ promotional debuts will be revealed at a later date. .
MMAFighting.com first reported the signing of Gallagher, one of UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor’s teammates at SBG Ireland. The featherweight is unbeaten in three professional outings, with each triumph coming via first-round submission. Though the Northern Ireland native has signed a deal with Bellator, he is expected to honor his June 4 fight with Sean Tobin under the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts banner.
Vasconcelos competed on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3,” and had one official fight in the Octagon -- a decision loss to Luke Zachrich at UFC 175 -- before being released. More recently, “Bomba” had won four fights in a row before losing a split decision to Marcio Santos in September.
