Ben Rothwell was not given much time to bask in the glory of his thrilling “gogo” choke of Josh Barnett.
The Wisconsin-based heavyweight will quickly get back into the Octagon as the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced Monday morning that Rothwell will lock horns with former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos on April 10 at the Zagreb Arena in Zagreb, Croatia.
The event will air live on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S.
Winner of four straight, Rothwell (36-9) will headline his first UFC event against the hard-hitting dos Santos (17-4). The 32-year-old Brazilian last saw action in a knockout loss to Alistair Overeem in December and has not put together back-to-back wins since putting away Cain Velasquez and Frank Mir nearly four years ago.
