Beneil Dariush will step in for Evan Dunham and face James Vick at UFC 199.
Promotion officials recently announced the change to the lightweight bout, which originally pitted Dunham against Leonardo Santos. Santos withdrew from the contest due to injury last week and was replaced by Vick.
UFC 199 takes place at the Forum in Los Angeles on June 4 and is headlined by a middleweight title rematch between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman. The pay-per-view bill also features a bantamweight championship clash between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.
Dariush saw a five-fight winning streak come to a halt at UFC on Fox 19, where he was submitted in the second round by Michael Chiesa. The Kings MMA product is 12-2 as a professional overall, with eight triumphs inside the distance.
Vick, meanwhile, is unbeaten in 9 professional outings, including five Octagon appearances. Most recently, “The Texecutioner captured a unanimous decision over Glaico Franca at UFC 197 on April 23.
