The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to piece together the event for when the Las Vegas-based promotion returns to Mexico City. Company officials announced on Wednesday that Beneil Dariush will oppose fellow lightweight Rashid Magomedov on the Nov. 5 UFC Fight Night card.
After winning five in a row, Dariush was submitted by Michael Chiesa on the UFC on Fox 19 card in April. The Kings MMA fighter quickly bounced back in June at UFC 199 where he knocked out James Vick in the first.
Magomedov, meanwhile, has been white hot as he’s won his last 12 bouts, with the last four all coming in the Octagon. “Highlander” is fresh off a decision win over Gilbert Burns at UFC 77 last November.
The event is slated to feature the finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 3. Reports swirled on Tuesday that an alluring showdown between former 155-pound champion Rafael dos Anjos and Tony Ferguson will anchor the marquee.
