UFC 177 will feature the usual suspects when it comes to mixed martial arts events held in California.
John McCarthy will referee Saturday’s night main event between former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao and current UFC 135-pound king T.J. Dillashaw in Sacramento, Calif. The three judges assigned to the bout are Derek Cleary, Mike Bell and Wade Vierra.
California State Athletic Commission executive director Andy Foster confirmed the assignments to Sherdog.com on Thursday.
It’s also worth noting that “Big” John’s son, Ron McCarthy, will serve as a judge during the preliminary portion of the card. The event will be the first Ultimate Fighting Championship event Ron has scored.
