Body Cam Footage Released Of Conor McGregor's Arrest Last Month In Florida

New body cam footage was released by TMZ Sports on Thursday showing Conor McGregor’s early morning arrest last month for allegedly taking and smashing the phone of a fan who was filming him as he was leaving a Miami hotel.

A cooperative McGregor can be seen in the video being escorted inside a police car on the morning of March 11 around 10 a.m.

McGregor pleaded not guilty to second-degree and third-degree felony charges of strong-armed robbery and criminal mischief. According to MMA Fighting’s Marc Raimondi, those charges directed at McGregor have been reduced to felony robbery (sudden snatch) and misdemeanor criminal mischief.

If a plea bargain is not reached later this month on April 30 then McGregor will face a trial which will begin on May 13. The fan involved in recording the video, Ahmed Abdirzak, dropped a civil suit against the Irishman earlier this month.

McGregor announced his retirement from MMA late last month, although a string of Twitter messages directed at lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov seem to indicate “The Notorious” will fight again. UFC President Dana White recently stated that he intends on meeting the 30-year-old in Florida ahead of the UFC Fort Lauderdale event which is scheduled for later this month.
