Boxing: Unbeaten Flores Faces Olympian Tetteh Tonight on Fox Sports 1

By Mike Sloan Nov 10, 2015

While the main event of tonight’s Premier Boxing Champions card between Alejandro “Cobrita” Gonzalez Jr. and Karim Guerfi will likely be the talk of the boxing world, the featured combatants won’t be alone when PBC returns with another edition of “Toe-to-Toe Tuesdays” on Fox Sports 1.

PBC on Tuesday announced that undefeated prospect Miguel Flores will look to keep his unblemished mark in tact when he takes on Alfred Tetteh in a 10-round featherweight attraction.

Flores (17-0, 8 KOs) has feasted upon regional opposition in and around his native Texas, but he’s taking a step in the right direction up the ladder with Tetteh, arguably the toughest opponent he’ll have faced thus far into his career.

Tetteh (23-4-1, 20 KOs) represented Ghana in the 1996 Olympics. He had scored seven straight knockouts before being stopped in the fifth at the hands of Abraham Lopez in May.

Filling out the event will be Alan Castano (9-0, 6 KOs) against Christopher Degollado (13-5, 11 KOs) in an eight-round super welterweight affair; Javier Maciel (30-3, 21 KOs) taking on Norberto Gonzalez (22-8, 14 KOs) in a 10-round super welterweight contest; Albert Romero (2-3-1) versus Raphael Montini in a four-round lightweight fight; Daniel Henry (2-4-3) in a four-round super middleweight contest against Edward Tigs (1-6-3); Prisco Marquez (3-0) squaring off against Daniel Arriaga (0-2-1) in four-rounds of super featherweight action; and Gregorio Herrera (0-2) in a four-round lightweight bout with Joe Reyes (0-9).

Also featured on the card is junior lightweight prospect Mario Barrios (12-0, 7 KOs) in an eight-round bout and junior middleweight Rolando Garza (4-0, 2 KOs) in a six-round super welterweight battle, both with opponents still to be determined.

The PBC on FS1 card airs live from Austin Music Hall in Austin, Texas, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
