Premier Boxing Champions on Tuesday announced that undefeated heavyweight prospect Dominic Breazeale will fight in the opening bout of the next PBC on NBC card, which takes place inside Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Ala., on Sept. 26. Breazeale will take on Fred Kassi on the undercard of the Deontay Wilder versus Jonathan Duhaupas heavyweight title fight.

Breazeale, a 2012 U.S. Olympian, is coming off a third-round knockout of former amateur star Yasmany Consuegra in June. Considered one of the best young heavyweights in the world, Breazeale (15-0, 14 KOs) is quickly ascending through the rankings and has knocked out his last five opponents.

Kassi (18-3-1, 10 KOs), a Cameroon native fighting out of Louisiana, hasn’t won in over two years. He fought only twice since that win in 2013, where he was knocked out in the seventh by Amir Mansour last year and then fought Chris Arreola to a draw in July. His duel with Breazeale is scheduled for 10 rounds.

As previously reported, original co-headliner Omar Figueroa had to withdraw from the card due to an elbow injury in training. He was slated to face Antonio DeMarco.

The event will air live on NBC starting at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.

Once the Wilder-Duhaupas fight concludes, NBCSN will air a special “post-liminary” card. Headlining the action will be another unbeaten heavyweight on the rise, Charles Martin (21-0-1, 19 KOs), will square off against Vicente Sandez (15-4, 10 KOs).

Also slated is a super welterweight encounter between unbeaten Olympian Terrell Gausha (15-0, 8 KOs) and Eliezer Gonzalez (15-1, 10 KOs). Bryant Perella (10-0, 9 KOs) will fight an opponent to be named in a welterweight bout while Mario Barrios (11-0, 6 KOs) will be featured in a junior lightweight match, also against an opponent to be named.

The postlims will air live on NBCSN beginning at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.
