Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Standout Mackenzie Dern Signs with Legacy FC for July Debut
Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Mackenzie Dern has signed with Texas-based promotion Legacy Fighting Championship.

Dern’s lengthy list of accomplishments on the grappling circuit include winning world titles at the 2015 ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship at 132 pounds and the 2015 World Jiu-Jitsu Championship at 130 pounds. The 22-year-old, who is a black belt under her father, Wellington “Megaton” Dias, is likely to compete at 115 pounds in MMA.
Dern is currently training at the MMA Lab in preparation for her debut. The Arizona-based camp is home to the likes of Benson Henderson, Efrain Escudero, Bryan Barberena, and Jocelyn Jones Lybarger, among others.
