Bantamweight talents Bryan Caraway and Lucas Martins will square off at UFC 170.
Caraway, 29, has gone 2-1 since making the cut to bantamweight after a featherweight stint on “The Ultimate Fighter 14.” The Washington native made a successful 135-pound foray opposite Mitch Gagnon last year but was then outpointed by Takeya Mizugaki in a split verdict this past March. Caraway last competed on April 27, when he stepped up on short notice to defeat “TUF 14” cast mate Johnny Bedford at UFC 159.
Martins dropped 20 pounds to make his bantamweight debut in his most recent outing, submitting Ramiro Hernandez with a rear-naked choke on Sept. 4. Prior to that triumph, “Mineiro” had gone 1-1 as a UFC lightweight, suffering a knockout defeat to Edson Barboza before punching out Jeremy Larsen this past May at UFC on FX 8.
