Add another endorsement to Ronda Rousey’s vast list, as Buffalo David Bitton announced on Thursday that the UFC women’s bantamweight champion will be one of the faces of Buffalo Pro.
The brand, which specializes in denim, has enlisted Rousey, along with NBA stars Kevin Love and Chandler Parsons, as well as NFL player Eric Decker, to help bolster a holiday campaign focusing on the brand’s athletic apparel division.
“It’s such an amazing opportunity to be able to represent Buffalo Pro,” Rousey said via press release. “Not only am I the first female they’ve ever had representing the campaign, but it’s the first time any MMA fighter has done any type of fashion thing at all. I feel really honored to be taking the first steps into this industry. I never had the confidence when I was younger to dress well, and avoided any type of fashion and femininity, and I’m enjoying the chance to embrace it at this point in my life.”
The marketing campaign will appear across print, digital and social media platforms. This deal, along with Rousey’s upcoming roles in "Furious 7" and "Entourage" in 2015, will continue to enhance “Rowdy’s” brandalong with her undefeated fighting profile.
Rousey is set to defend her 135-pound title against Cat Zingano at UFC 184 in Los Angeles on Feb. 28.
“Whenever I get a fight, I obsess over it because I feel like everything I’ve worked for my entire life really weighs on it,” Rousey said. “I wouldn’t be representing Buffalo Pro if I didn’t win these fights. I feel like every single time that I get out there all of those things that I’ve earned along the way are on the line, and so I’m not just fighting to protect my title or a belt — that’s just a piece of metal — I’m fighting to really legitimize every single bit of work that I’ve done all the way up to this point, and any loss along that way it will all be wasted in my eyes.”
