CES MMA’s Inaugural New York Card to Include Second Pro Bout for John Gotti III

CES MMA will travel to New York for the first time on May 4 in Westbury – which is about 18 miles east of Manhattan -- for a card that will include John Gotti III’s second professional bout.

The event, which is not numbered and will not be televised on AXS-TV, will be headlined by a lightweight clash between UFC veteran Renee Forte and former Bellator talent Matt Secor. Meanwhile, Gotti III will square off against Eddie Haws at 170 pounds.

Two other bouts were announced for the event: Josh Ricci vs. Miguel Restrepo at flyweight and Jacob Bohn vs. Kenny Foster at featherweight.

Gotti III, of course, is the grandson of infamous mob boss John J. Gotti and the son of Junior Gotti. MMA was reportedly a way for the younger Gotti to bond with his father when he returned home after six years in prison on racketeering charges in 2004. Gotti III was victorious in his pro debut at CES MMA 46, as he forced opponent Johnny Adams to submit to punches 3:50 into the opening stanza.

“With the incredible amount of pro talent in the New York region, opening a division there is a logical step in our East Coast expansion,” CES MMA CEO Jimmy Burchfield Jr. said in a release. “John Gotti III made his pro debut in Rhode Island back in October. Now it’s time for him to go to work at home.”
