Paul Felder’s last act as Cage Fury Fighting Championships lightweight titleholder was a spinning-heel kick knockout on Saturday in the main event of CFFC 38.
Felder is the latest in a long line of fighters to make the jump from CFFC to the UFC. “The Irish Dragon” holds a perfect 8-0 record, with six of those bouts coming inside the CFFC cage. Saturday’s KO win came against Craig Johnson in Atlantic City, N.J.
He will head into hostile territory to meet Saggo, who is 10-1 as a lightweight. Saggo is coming off his own UFC debut at UFC 174, where he notched a first-round stoppage against Josh Shockley.
UFC Fight Night “MacDonald vs. Saffiedine” takes place Oct. 4 at Halifax Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The main event features welterweights Rory MacDonald and Tarec Saffedine.
