Cage Warriors 83 Weigh-in Results: Long Good, Che Mills Needs Two Attempts to Make Weight

By Mike Sloan May 5, 2017
With Cage Warriors 83 taking place in Newport, Wales on Saturday, all of the fighters needed to be on point at Friday’s weigh-ins. Thankfully two close calls that nearly put the event in turmoil were avoided as two men needed two attempts to make weight.

Lew Long easily made the welterweight limit when he stepped onto the scale for his main event fight, coming in at 170.6 pounds. But his opponent, Che Mills, nearly missed the cut. After initially weighing in at 171.5 pounds, Mills was able to slide in under the limit at 170.9, barely making it.

Denmark’s Soren Bak needed two attempts on the scale as well as he first came in too heavy for his lightweight battle with Scott Clist. After Clist checked in at 154.8 pounds, Bak returned to the scale and tipped it at 156.

Cage Warriors 83 will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT.
