UFC on Fox 21 officially has a main event, as a welterweight clash between Carlos Condit and Demian Maia will top the Aug. 27 bill.

Promotion officials confirmed the headliner after it was initially reported by The Canadian Press. Condit-Maia was initially scheduled to take place on week prior on the main card of UFC 202 in Las Vegas. UFC on Fox 21 takes place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and also includes a featherweight tilt pitting Anthony Pettis against Charles Oliveira.

Three other bouts were also confirmed for the bill: Sam Alvey vs. Kevin Casey at middleweight; Shane Campbell vs. Felipe Silva at lightweight and Adam Hunter vs. Ryan Janes at middleweight.

Condit, 32, is coming off a contentious split-decision defeat to Robbie Lawler at UFC 195 in January. “The Natural Born Killer” briefly contemplated retirement following the loss. He has compiled a 3-4 record since 2012 with wins over the likes of Nick Diaz, Martin Kampmann and Thiago Alves.

Maia, meanwhile, has won five fights in a row and is 8-2 overall since moving from middleweight to welterweight. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist’s current streak includes dominant triumphs over Matt Brown, Gunnar Nelson and Neil Magny.
