Champion, Challenger Make Weight for UFC 77

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and challenger Rich Franklin (Pictures) made weight Friday in Cincinnati, Ohio, making official the main event of UFC 77 "Hostile Territory."

Silva, who destroyed Franklin in their first showdown last October, exited the scales at a trim 184.5 pounds. The challenger, victorious in two straight since being stopped in the first round against the Brazilian at UFC 64, registered a weight of 184 pounds.

The only fighter to weigh over the limit was Josh Burkman (Pictures), who after tallying 171.5 pounds on his first trip to the scale, dropped a half-pound on his second attempt.
