Charles Oliveira was not cleared by doctors to compete against Nik Lentz at UFC Fight Night “Mousasi vs. Jacare,” therefore the fight has been canceled.

Ultimate Fighting Championship officials announced the change hours before the event on Friday.

Oliviera missed weight by four pounds on Thursday and was forced to forfeit 20 percent of his purse to Lentz. The Brazilian was reportedly recuperating from a viral infection he contracted in Brazil. His illness relapsed earlier this week and caused him to miss the mark of 146. Oliviera did not attempt to weigh in again.

According to the UFC, Oliviera became sick again, and after being seen by a doctor he was forced out of the bout.

This is the third instance in two weeks where a fighter has suffered complications that have involved missing weight. Henry Cejudo was removed from his bout with Scott Jorgensen after falling ill due to a weight cut, as was Renan Barao after injuring himself cutting weight prior to his title fight with T.J. Dillashaw at UFC 177.

The card will continue with nine fights.
