A featherweight bout between Charles Rosa and Sean Soriano has been added to the UFC Fight Night Boston lineup.
The UFC announced the pairing on Wednesday. The UFC Fight Night card takes place at the TD Garden on Jan. 18 and is headlined by a 145-pound showdown between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver. The main card will be televised on Fox Sports 1 and also includes a lightweight matchup pitting Benson Henderson against Eddie Alvarez.
Nicknamed “The Boston Strangler,” the American Top Team-based Rosa impressed in his short-notice Octagon debut against Siver before eventually losing via unanimous decision. Prior to that defeat, Rosa was unbeaten in his first nine professional appearances, finishing all of his opponents by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
Soriano, meanwhile, is winless in two promotional outings. The ex-Championship Fighting Alliance titlist tapped to a Tatsuya Kawajiri rear-naked choke in his Octagon debut and was outpointed by Chas Skelly in his next appearance at UFC Fight Night in Connecticut.
