While Radtke’s post-fight press conference started off well, the welterweight suddenly made a bizarre demand when questioned by a reporter, leading to an awkward and abrupt end to the session (video via FanSided MMA).
“With a knockout like that, you know people are going to be talking, wanting to see more of you,” a reporter said to Radtke. “How soon do we get you back in that cage? Is there anybody that you would want to match up with?”
Radtke responded by demanding money for interview appearances.
“How much money you got? That’s what it is,” Radtke said. “You guys get these interviews for free. I need to get paid. Let’s go.”
Radtke then asked for the next question, which was met by silence as the fighter took a large gulp of water. Radtke then said a defiant “good” before walking off.
Radtke made his promotional debut at UFC 293 in Australia this past September, earning a decision win over City Kickboxing’s Mike Mathetha. He went on a profanity laden rant in his post-fight interview, which included a homophobic slur for which the fighter later publicly apologized.
