A heavyweight showdown pitting Cheick Kongo against Alexander Volkov will headline Bellator 139 on June 26.

Sherdog.com confirmed the pairing with a Bellator official following an initial report from MMAFighting.com. Bellator 139 takes place at Kansas Star Arena in Mulvane, Kan., and also includes a featherweight scrap between Pat Curran and Goiti Yamauchi.

Kongo joined the Bellator roster in 2013 following an 18-bout stint with the UFC. The 39-year-old Frenchman is 4-2 with the promotion overall, including a split-decision loss to Muhammed Lawal in his most recent outing at Bellator 134.

Volkov, meanwhile, is a former heavyweight champion. The 26-year-old relinquished the strap to Vitaly Minakov at Bellator 108 in November 2013. He rebounded to win five straight fights before falling to Tony Johnson via split decision at Bellator 136.
